Road tripping through Tennessee

I started out West (in the campervan) again on Sept 20th. I decided to drive straight through to Murfreesboro TN (about an 8 hour drive from Winston Salem) where my dear friend Jennifer and her family live. Jennifer was one of my suite-mates in Auburn University in 1982 (YIKES!) which seems like a lifetime ago. I got to spend a night with her and her husband Kenny (who has been around as long as I have known Jenn). Had a great dinner with her mom, Kenny and their two girls. So grateful for having wonderful people in my life.

My visit was way too short but had to hit the road the next day to make sure I got to Albuquerque NM in time to pickup Crystal (my sis-in-law) for a little adventure with her. It's amazing how quickly traveling across country can go.

Jennifer and me doing some shopping in old downtown Murfreesboro.

Had an awesome breakfast in this amazing cafe that has been around forever.

Interior of City Cafe. Love the atmosphere.

Kenny, Jennifer, her mom, Caroline and Grace.
